Admissions
Entrance Exam
Admission to the ninth grade is based on successful performance on the Test for Admission into Catholic High Schools (TACHS), a positive review of school records for grades 6, 7, 8 and the student's expressed desire to attend the Academy. St. Catharine Academy's school number for the TACHS exam is # 215.

Transfer Students
Upper class students are accepted on the basis of credits earned in academic subjects, test results, personal motivation and favorable recommendations from the student's previous school. Admission to upper classes is processed through the Guidance Office and dependent upon availability of space in that grade.

Scholarships
An upper class student may receive a scholarship if she ranks among the top three students in her class at the conclusion of the academic year. This distinction is based on cumulative rank. Families of students on scholarship are required to make a tax-deductible donation of $300 for a full or $200 for a partial scholarship.

For a student who is transferring, the parent should speak with Mrs. Kay Whelan
at ext. 124
