“It is an honor to continue to serve at St. Catharine’s where I have taught and been an administrator for almost 30 years,” says Ms. Melucci – Ivanov, a resident of Country Club in the Bronx. “Over the years many things have changed, but the things that are constant are the sense of community and dedication to academic excellence. Being a Catharinite means being part of a family while a student and alumna. I am now working with students whose Moms I taught as a young teacher. They believe in the value of a St. Catharine Academy education.”
Ms. Melucci – Ivanov continues to stay current as a teacher too, working with Mercy Online to teach summer courses in pre-algebra, algebra and geometry. A graduate of Fordham University, Ms. Melucci – Ivanov earned her master of arts degree in mathematics education from Lehman College and a master of science degree in School Building Leadership from Mercy College (now Mercy University). She holds permanent certifications in teaching mathematics, grades 7-12 and New York State Building Leadership.
