Welcome from Carmela Melucci-Ivanov, Interim Principal

At St. Catharine Academy, we recognize that students bring unique talents and interests to our school community.  We craft each student’s academic program in a way that provides rigorous and challenging coursework in an environment that is supportive of our students’ needs and abilities.

Our core curriculum includes standard academic courses in the humanities, math and science.  These courses are offered at the Regents, Honors and Advanced Placement levels.  This wide arc allows each student to create a personalized course load that meets her talents and interests.  These core academic courses are complemented by opportunities to grow intellectually and creatively.  Our arts coursework allows students to explore painting, drawing and dance and our theology curriculum challenges our students to think deeply about truth and purpose.

Our signature STEM program provides our students with a profound understanding of robotics, coding and computer science.  Our STEM suite is equipped with state of the art equipment including 3-D printers and manipulatives that give our students hands-on experience building robots and creating prototypes.

For 135 years, St. Catharine Academy has equipped our students with the tools needed to be successful in whatever field they choose to pursue after graduation.

We welcome you to join us!
